Falling in love with FavAUrite
Speaking of favAUrites… fall. There are gold leaves, gold sunrises and gold sunsets.
There are golden full moons with far-off twinkling stars, constellations and planets. The day’s light dwindles and the air cools, yet we are warmed by the fields of golden harvests and cozy pumpkin spice everything. Evenings dim earlier with hazy streetlights and the glow from the jack-o’-lanterns. It’s a season of slowing down, new beginnings and rest.

FavAUrite opened her doors on October 3rd as the green of summer turned to crisp and blustery golden. August and September were spent among paint cans of ‘Vintage Vessel’ and ‘Sockeye’, the sounds of table saws and hammers, eating homemade lunches on makeshift tables and chairs in the sunny backyard, taking trips to flea markets and antique stores and finding synergy.

Missteps were made and lessons were learned. We appreciated individual strengths with mindful collaboration and pivoted easily together. The road to success is paved with mistakes that are well handled. Our vision was of a lasting look that would convey a modern, yet classic, European presence always with a poetic nod to our American roots. The result: soft lines, quiet moments, gilded touches and color palettes which we believe are expressions of our individual tastes.

With the shortening of autumn days, we look forward to sharing the season of harvest and abundance with you. We’ve settled in here comfortably at FavAUrite but we’ll not be resting anytime soon; we are just getting started.
